Introduction

Renewable Energy

Creating a cleaner future for all Michiganders.

Michigan’s renewable energy leader

DTE has served Michigan as the state’s leading renewable energy investor and producer for more than a decade. We know that generating more clean energy is one of the most important steps we can take to reduce carbon emissions and address climate change.

While our investment in renewable energy already exceeds $3 billion, we have ambitious plans to do even more. Today, our 18 wind parks and 32 solar parks generate enough clean energy to power more than 670,000 homes. With new projects currently underway, we will more than double our renewable energy generation capacity by 2023, which is enough clean energy each year to power more than 900,000 homes.
