These are your base rate options for providing electricity to your home. Since everyone’s electric needs are different, consider when you use electricity the most and when you can conserve it. The more flexibility you have to shift your energy use to off-peak times, the lower your bill will be.

Off-Peak: the time when the electricity demand is low.
Mid-Peak: the time when electricity demand is moderate, typically higher than off-peak hours but lower than peak hours.
Peak: the time when the electricity grid experiences the heaviest traffic.
Critical-Peak: when extraordinary situations occur or energy demand strains the grid, like during a heat wave, when electricity use is at its highest.
*Stated base rates shown include three factors: (1) capacity and (2) non-capacity charges within power supply charges and (3) distribution within delivery charges. All other surcharges, including Power Supply Cost Recovery (PSCR), are not included in the stated base rate.

No two houses are the same, so DTE has options to give you a special rate depending on your needs. Specific equipment or a separate meter is required to utilize specialty rates.
