Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

You belong here! We aspire to create a welcoming environment for all our employees and for those looking to work at DTE.

Our employees are from different backgrounds and cultures — together their experiences and heritage contribute to our company's continued success.

It is the only reason we can build stronger, more prosperous communities.

Here is a snapshot of our efforts:

  • We are committed to stand united in rejecting all forms of discrimination and violence in our workplace and communities.
  • CEO Jerry Norcia joined a nationwide commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace by signing the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion pledge.
  • Actively recruit employees representing all aspects of diversity — from gender and cultural to veteran and differently-abled.
  • Recruit top minority and female talent through our long-standing partnerships with professionally diverse organizations.
  • A robust, award-winning Supplier Diversity Program invested $600 million with certified minority and women suppliers in 2019 and focused on outreach and mentoring.
  • Women of Color recognized 33 DTE women in STEM-related fields for ground-breaking achievements.
  • Our contributions to youth employment programs provided 1,500 youth, mostly from underserved backgrounds, with employment opportunities across Michigan.
  • Provide a second chance in life through training programs and hiring opportunities for returning citizens.
