Program Highlights

Financial Management

By making your monthly bills more predictable, BudgetWise Billing helps to minimize spikes in your amount due during high-use energy months.

We calculate your monthly payment by taking the energy usage and bill amount at your current residence for the last 12 months. We use the average amount to determine your monthly payment.

Quarterly Review

We review your energy usage every three months to determine if your monthly amount needs to be adjusted. As your energy usage fluctuates throughout the year, your BudgetWise Billing amount may increase or decrease each quarter to avoid a large under or over payment at the end of 12 months. An outstanding balance during the ninth month will be distributed equally over the remaining three months of the year.

Settlement Month

After 12 months we review your account and settle any differences between energy used and money paid. If we overcharged, your account will be credited on your next bill. If you are undercharged you will need to settle the difference to remain in the BudgetWise Billing program. The annual reconciliation is called Settlement Month.
